OK...wow...what a day. I'm sorry if my blog post don"t make a ton of sense. I'm not very good at just venting thoughts into this type of writing.
So today was the first day we spent with the kids from the care point. If you want to see lots of pictures I think my dad will be posting on the Knowntome blog here soon.
Well we hadd a really awesome drive out into the country to our care point. It's interesting to be driving through the hills going 50-60mph (which is what our driver goes 90% of the time). There're lots of little kids along the way, and they just smile and wave. So so cute.
I also saw some goats.
We got to the care point just as the kids started to trickle in. The area that they did the feeding in the first time my dad went is now a huge "play zone." Soccer is what most of the boys do. The girls play a game that involves getting yourself over a string...I'd like to try but they'd proly think that was really strange.
Today the kids took a little while to warm up to us...I'm guessing the warmup time will get shorter and shorter as time goes on.
There was on girl there today who really glued herself to me, and another who I have a feeling I'm supposed to sponser...or be her "Speacial Friend" as they call it here, I'm really not sure yet though. I can't remember the name of the first girl...but the second is named Cullio (I think that's how its spelled... [clicking sound]c-oo-low, I think that's how you say it).
So many cute little kids there...and most of them love to be loved on...at one point I had 3 little ones kinda fighting over who i got to hold. I ended up making them take turns. After that I held one in my arms, and the other two kid's hands and we walked down to the soccer field. (Which BTW is called football here)
They also love the camera's. You take a picture and they all want to see it. Most of them at least smile, some burst into hystarical laughter! It's so great!!!
I also met a shy little dog at the care ponit who I finaly got to trust me. I fed him some cracker bits I had. I'm sure I'll be seeing more of him :P.
Tonight we went to a nice reastraunt..lol..it had couche like things with pillows and bean bags on the side of the table where I sat...I fell asleep. I ordered ox tail, it was very good. Lots of tiny bones, but very good.
Well I hope you all are having a wonderful day, and an amazing week. I know for me this week is going to be something else. I'll post more as soon as I get the chance.
God Bless you all
